Elstree and Borehamwood Town Festival will launch on Saturday, June 22, with the Festival Parade, which has been shortened to accommodate more people on foot and will be led by the Air Training Corps cadets. This year's route will take in Gateshead Road and Brook Road, and miss out Leeming Road and Aycliffe Road, because of roadworks. A Rock and Roll Night will be held on June 22, at Allum Hall, in Allum Lane, at 7pm, featuring live music, a jive school and dance displays. Tickets cost 5 in advance. 020 8207 1382.
