HERTS Phoenix athlete Samantha Adamson shone in the 400m hurdles at the Commenwealth Games Trials in Manchester on Saturday.
A positive perfomance in Saturday's heats saw the 20-year-old progress through the finals with a time of 60.01. Once there though, she was hamstrung by a lane eight draw, although an aggresive run (60.02) carried her to a creditable sixth place.
She will take the confidence gained from this run into the National Under-23 Championships in Bedford in a fortnight.
