A PHONE mast is to be built in Aldenham Road, Bushey.
The 15 metre high monopole and equipment cabin will be constructed on land at Blackwell House, opposite the old MFI site at Bushey Arches, to improve mobile reception for the Bushey Arches area.
Because the mast will be put up near a railway track, it is screened by trees and is surrounded by commerical and not residential buildings the application, by Harlequin, was approved by Watford Council's planning committee on Wednesday night.
The steel mast will have six antennas, two dishes accompanied by a steel equipment cabin within a fenced compound.
Residents in the vicinity were notified about the application but no objections were lodged with Watford Council.
