A WATFORD police sergeant charged with three sex offences was committed for trial at Luton Crown Court yesterday (Thursday).
Stephen Howe, 34, of Wellbury Terrace, Hemel Hempstead, appeared at Stevenage Magistrates Court accused of indecently assaulting two 13-year-old boys in Rickmansworth in August 1996. He is also charged with an indecent assault on an 18-year-old man in Chorleywood last March.
Howe, who has 11 years service with Hertfordshire Constabulary, was suspended from the force when he was arrested on May 9 last year.
He was granted unconditional bail to appear at Luton Crown Court on February 26.
