Watford goal keeper Scott Loach visited excited children at a half-term football camp in Bushey today.

The young boys at the Power League, in Aldenham Road, were delighted to meet their Watford hero and get his autograph.

Will Cowper, 9, said meeting Loach was "fantastic" and thought he was "the best player ever".

After speaking to the children, Scott spoke about his memories as an aspiring footballer.

He said: “I remember when I used to come to these sort of camps and footballers would do the same for me so it is nice to give something back."

Rajan Palmer, aged 8, thought Scott was "the best goal keeper in the world" and said his favourite match was when Watford beat Sheffield Wednesday 4-1.

Scott said he recognised the importance of community visits, especially to young aspiring football players.

"Every boy at some stage wants to be a footballer so it is nice for them to meet someone who does that."

Watford Powerleague general manager Jordan McGarvie said: "We are all really appreciative that Scott could come down today and the kids have been really excited all day.”
