120 members of Watford Sea lions disabled swimming club and 13 members of Bushey and Watford phab club took part in an adventure weekend at Phasels wood scout camp over the weekend of 2nd / 4th July 2010 along with a visit from the chairman of Watford council Alan Burtenshaw.

Those present joined up on the Friday night where they got together put up their tents or found their rooms in the cedar lodge before getting together to socialise and in particular get to know each other especially the members of Watford disabled Sea lion swimming club and their guests Bushey and Watford Phab club. Saturday was spent in adventurous activities including abseiling, climbing , air rifle shooting and archery etc, all of which were made fun and inclusive to all including the less able people present (wheelchair users of Phab and Sea lions etc.) by the efforts of the volunteers and scout instructors. The afternoon was spent in a team competition where various tests of skill and fun were laid on, after dinner those present spent the evening around the camp fire relaxing and enjoying each other’s company. Sunday after breakfast the morning was spent in treasure hunts, quizzes, paper making. After a relaxed BBQ. Lunch we were joined by the chairman of Watford council (and president of sea lions swimming club) Alan Burtenshaw and his wife who presented the prizes from the various events as well as made presentations to those who had organised the weekend. The weekend was sunny and fun and enjoyed by everybody present and this was made possible by the hard work of all those who organised the weekend as well as those who helped on the weekend itself. Bushey and Watford Phab club and its members who were present would like to thank all those who made it such a good weekend.
