A Watford women’s group has raised more than £11,000 for the victims of the Pakistan floods.
The Watford Muslim Women’s Organisation organised a party at the Durban Road Multicultural Community Centre last Friday.
More than 200 guests, including Watford MP Richard Harrington, raised a total of £11,500 for the victims of the disaster.
Organiser Sharifa Chaudry said’ we are very pleased with the amount raised by the community which demonstrates our unity with the suffering people of Pakistan.”
