A thief who stole a high-powered motorcycle from an address in Oxhey crashed it just seconds later.
Police were called to a house in Chalk Hill shortly before 8.30pm on Saturday when the bike was reported missing.
It crashed just seconds later in the same road at the junction with King Edward Road. Police rushed to the scene but the thief had already fled.
The police helicopter was called in to assist with the search but officers were unable to locate the thief.
Investigations are continuing.
