An air ambulance was called to a residential street in Bushey when a ten-year-old boy was hit by a car.
The boy was knocked down at about 1.50pm on Sunday in Sparrows Herne.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson said: “Due to the nature of the call, one of the East Anglian Air ambulances was sent to assist at the scene. Following treatment by paramedics at the scene, the boy was taken by land ambulance to Watford General Hospital with minor injuries.”
The air ambulance landed in a school playing field adjacent to the scene.
