Little Green Junior School has spent £1,000 on an innovative system to manage play equipment at lunch-time.
The Croxley Green received the grant from county councillor Steve Drury's locality budget, and bought new play equipment, a storage shed, boxes and shelving.
The new equipment is loaned out to children at lunchtimes, each child has a deposit card, which they exchange for equipment and get back when they return it safely.
Councillor Drury said: "The scheme encourages active play, which is great for the children's health, and also inclusive play, which has great social benefits for the children like encouraging friendship, building self esteem and reducing isolation and bullying.
"The children also learn to take responsibility and make a contribution to the school community."
