A West Watford pooch is the ‘last lady standing’ as she moves one step closer to getting her paws on a TV modelling contract.

Scarlett, a Rottweiler owned by Anthony Skordis, missed an early doggie bath by reaching the final three in the ITV2 show Top Dog Model last night (Wednesday).

Vying to take her place in the beauty contest, Scarlett underwent an action-packed photo shoot in Epping Forest alongside top stunt mountain biker Joe Oakley.

Three-year-old Scarlett proved to be a bit of a doggy diva when it came to jumping for the shoot, however turned that around with a ‘completely perfect’ running shot.

It was then lights, camera, action for the princess pooch as she made her television debut on ITV’s hit daytime show This Morning, where she proudly cat-walked a pink T-shirt emblazoned ‘Diva coming through’ to impress TV presenter Paul Ross.

Excited by the commotion, owner Anthony, who lives in Oxford Street, also went snooping to take his place on the famous This Morning couch.

It was dog-eat-dog to make it through to the final and Scarlett went up against rescue dog, Sparky, to gain the last spot in the final three of the competition.

Scarlett found herself in the bottom two because judges were concerned about her diva ways.

Stacey Solomon, judge and presenter, said: "Scarlett does her own thing. We were really lucky to get the shots we did yesterday and although they were completely perfect ,was it just a fluke?"

After a nail-biting wait Mr Skordis exclaimed ‘yes’ and was brought to tears with the news.

He said: "Scarlett is not just a pretty girl. She’s a powerful force to be reckoned with."
