Victor Ibarbo is unlikely to make his Watford debut against Swansea City on Saturday after Quique Sanchez Flores revealed he had left England to tie up a visa issue.

The Colombian forward, 25, joined the Hornets on a season-long loan deal from Roma on transfer deadline day but his debut looks set to be put on hold.

Flores said: "Ibarbo is solving a problem with his visa. He is not here, he trained in the first days [after signing] but he is not here."

The nature of the complication is unknown but the Golden Boys head coach expects the pacey forward to link up with his new teammates soon.

"I don’t know exactly what he needs to solve," admitted Flores. "But I think maybe in a few days he will solve this. Maybe in four or five days he will come.

"We have put a physical coach with him so he doesn’t lose any time and get him back as quick as possible with the best performance."

Adlene Guedioura returned to Vicarage Road on a permanent basis after two successful loan spells from Crystal Palace whilst Club Brugge striker Obbi Oulare, 19, joined for an undisclosed fee. Flores says the latter is not fully fit, though.

"The physical condition of Oulare is not the best so we will have to think a little bit more about Oulare," he explained.

Asked what the Belgian teenager could bring to his squad, Flores said: "I think he is a completely different player to what we have in the squad.

"We have to check Oulare’s characteristics because it is not the same as watching and analysing him. You can correct the player and explain to him the way we need him in the team.

"Now is the worst time for the players to come because they need to learn a lot of things.

"In the case of Oulare and Ibarbo they need to adapt because English football is not the same as Italian, Spanish or Belgian football, it is completely different."
