New signing Victor Ibarbo has been given clearance to make his debut for Watford against Swansea City on Saturday, two days after head coach Quique Sanchez Flores revealed he had left England to resolve a visa issue.

The Colombian international, who joined the Hornets on a season-long loan deal from Roma on transfer deadline day, had looked set to miss tomorrow's clash with the Swans after returning to Italy to resolve a visa issue.

However, the former Catania attacker returned to England late last night and has now been cleared by the Premier League to make his Hornets bow against Garry Monk's side.

It is a sudden turnaround for the pacey frontman after Flores revealed at his Thursday press conference the 25-year-old was highly unlikely to be available to face Swansea.

Flores said: "Ibarbo is solving a problem with his visa. He is not here, he trained in the first few days [after signing] but he is not here."

The Spaniard added: "I don’t know exactly what he needs to solve. But I think maybe in a few days he will solve this. Maybe in four or five days he will come.

"We have put a physical coach with him so he doesn’t lose any time and get him back as quick as possible with the best performance."
