WATFORD Free-Style Kick Boxing club returned from the recent Peterborough Open Martial Arts competition with an impressive haul of medals from some of their bright young stars.

The success began with Amy Curtis who fought very well to claim the silver medal in the under 4' 4" inch section. Robert Hoad was also in the same section and agonisingly missed out on the bronze medal.

In the under five feet category, Watford were represented by three fighters who all produced superb performances. Ricky Longhurst emerged from the competition with the gold while Lee Reddy picked up the silver and Emma Steele just missed out on a medal.

Watford's last junior member to fight was Ross Drummond and he crowned an excellent team performance by demonstrating great kicking techniques to win gold.

Marvin Viveiros, who has just turned 16, found himself competing in the men's category and he belied his relatively tender years to claim the bronze medal.
