Watford have announced their new squad numbers ahead of Saturday's Premier League opener with Southampton.

Numbers six and eight, filled last season by since-departed Joel Ekstrand and Valon Behrami, remain vacant, perhaps a nod from head coach Walter Mazzarri that he hopes to fill the latter with a creative midfielder before the transfer window closes.

Behrami, whose future looked uncertain before the Italian's appointment in July, takes number 11, with Nordin Amrabat filling the number seven shirt vacated by Jose Jurado.

New boy Isaac Success takes Obbi Oulare's number 10 shirt, and fellow summer arrival Abdoulaye Doucoure will wear the number 16 shirt belonging to Chelsea loanee Nathan Ake last season.

Juan Zuniga's arrival sees Costel Pantilimon shunted to 30 to give him the number 18 shirt, with former Liverpool striker Jerome Sinclair slotting in at 19.

Ex-Marseille wing-back Brice Dja Djedje takes 26, which was unused last campaign, and fellow new arrival Christian Kabasele will wear 27, to round off the new additions.
