Walter Mazzarri dedicated Watford's 3-2 home win over Everton to lifelong supporter Ray Batchelor.

The Hornets fan passed away after last weekend's game at West Brom and a round of applause was held paying tribute in the 81st minute.

Speaking after the win, head coach Mazzarri said: “I’m very proud and very happy but before starting with all the questions I want to dedicate this win to all the fans that are always supporting us, but also on top of everyone for the fan that passed away last week, Ray Batchelor, and to his family."

The win sent the Hornets up to seventh in the Premier League and Mazzarri praised his team for their comeback after trailing early on.

Mazzarri said: “I’m also very happy for my players and the way they played because against a team like Everton it’s not easy, especially when you start losing 1-0 and need a big reaction.

"This is how we managed to get a very important win."
