Watford dangermen Isaac Success and Nordin Amrabat are both still short of full fitness according to Walter Mazzarri, with the pair both restricted to cameos from the bench at Selhurst Park today.
Amrabat's second-half introduction was of little surprise, given he has been out of first-team action since January 1 but Success, whose arrival last time out against Southampton revitalised his team-mates, must be wondering what he has to do to earn a second Hornets start.
The Nigerian frontman has played in each of Watford's last six Premier League games, but has featured for a grand total of 74 minutes in that time, including the final 10 at Selhurst Park this afternoon.
Mazzarri said after the defeat: "We have some players like Nordin Amrabat who need to find their fitness.
"Isaac Success is the same. As well, now we have Niang who also plays in the same role, and Okaka and Deeney and with Amrabat who can play as a winger, and also Daryl Janmaat."
Mazzarri also revealed Valon Behrami had asked to be substituted at half-time, having pulled a muscle before the interval.
