Watford are not believed to be pursuing any interest in Leicester striker Islam Slimani, who is being touted with a £30-million move to reunite with former manager Marco Silva.
The two worked together for a season at Sporting Lisbon in 2014/15, with Slimani scoring 12 times in 21 top-flight games that year.
But after a difficult first season in England with Leicester last year, agent talk has seen him linked with a number of clubs across the summer - including linking up with his old boss at Watford.
But the Watford Observer understands on the back of the £18 million signing of Andre Gray, the Hornets are not looking to splash out nearly double their record fee on Slimani, who could only find the net seven times in his debut Premier League season.
The Hornets are now well-stocked in their attacking options, with Gray joined by Stefano Okaka, the returning Troy Deeney and Jerome Sinclair in a squad likely to work with a lone striker under Silva's plans.
