Marvin Zeegelaar is eager to bounce back from Tuesday’s 4-2 loss to Manchester United with all three points against Tottenham Hotspur.

Watford entertain Spurs at Vicarage Road on Saturday, with the north London club arriving in Hertfordshire looking to turn around their ailing form.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men’s title bid has faltered considerably in recent weeks with a run of one point from their last three games.

They went down to a 2-1 loss against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday and are surely out of the hunt for the Premier League.

Manchester City enjoy a 16-point advantage over last season’s runners up and Spurs are only three points and one place ahead of Watford in the table.

With this in mind, Zeegelaar sees no reason the Hornets shouldn’t be looking to take three points from the clash.

“We will give 100 per cent against Tottenham and look to play like we did in the second half against United,” he said.

“We always have to go onto the pitch with the mentality that we can get something from the game and we have a wiinning mentality now.

“We want to show that we can win every game, even against the big clubs. Our league position shows how far we have come.

“We can get a win, we won against other big teams so why can’t we get a good result against Tottenham.”
