Former Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores has moved to quell speculation linking him with the Stoke City job, insisting he is happy at Espanyol.
The Spaniard was the Potters first choice to replace Mark Hughes after he was dismissed following a dismal run of form which left Stoke in the relegation zone.
However, Flores has now broken his silence on the matter and says he is settled with the La Liga side.
“Here I have all I need. I am the coach and will be,” Flores said. “I am well and quite happy with my situation.
“I don’t have to explain anything else.”
Flores spent just one season at Vicarage Road, but was well thought of by the club’s support after leading the Hornets to a 13th place finish in 2016.
