Watford were within minutes of the win that would all but have been made certain of their Premier League status for another season, but they were forced to settle for a point after poor defending at a free-kick was punished by Jermain Defoe to snatch a 2-2 draw for Bournemouth.
The Hornets had taken the lead twice in what was often an open and entertaining match, through Kiko Femenia's first goal for the club and Roberto Pereyra early in the second half.
The Cherries fought back on each occasion though, Defoe's goal a second equaliser after Joshua King had levelled for the first time late from a penalty late in the opening period after Jose Holebas had senselessly handled.
Here are a selection of images from yesterday's match.
