Watford have confirmed that Christian Kabasele has been given the all-clear and is available for selection for Belgium’s World Cup squad after being forced out of yesterday’s defeat at Manchester United.

The Hornets defender was replaced by Adrian Mariappa in the 21st minute after colliding with an advertising board at Old Trafford.

Kabasele briefly attempted to carry on but was soon sat back down on the ground holding his right knee and was taken off.

The Hornets have confirmed via Twitter that the centre-half “has been cleared of any injury concern” and is available for World Cup selection.

The 27-year-old has two international caps and is hoping to make Roberto Martinez’s 23-man squad for the tournament in Russia which begins one month today.
