Watford hotshot Juan Camilo Hernandez helped SD Huesca secure promotion to La Liga for the first time in their history last night, as they beat Lugo 2-0.
The forward, known as Cucho, played 80 minutes as goals from Alejandro Gallar Falguera and Jorge Pulido secured Huesca an historic victory and promotion to Spain’s top-flight.
Hernandez was immediately loaned out to the Spanish side after joining Watford last summer and has been in superb form in the Segunda Division this season, scoring 16 goals in 34 appearances.
His form has seen him repeatedly linked with a move to Spanish giants Barcelona and Watford technical director Filippo Giraldi confirmed earlier this year that the striker has already attracted interest from big clubs.
Giraldi told Watford’s website: “We have good players doing well in their development, who are not necessarily in the spotlight.”
“The striker Cucho is the most sensational player in Segunda Division in Spain. A lot of big clubs have approached us.”
