Watford Grammar School for Boys face a difficult-loking task if they are to move within one game of potentially reaching their fifth Watford Observer Fourteen14 Plate final in seven years after the draw was made for this year’s competition.
The school side, who were beaten by Bushey in the 2016 final having won the event in three of the four years prior to that, will face 2014 winners Leverstock Green A in the first round.
The Plate, which runs parallel to the latter stages of the main Shield competition, consists of eight teams – sole first round losers Rickmansworth School Staff plus the seven defeated teams from the second round with the worst net run rates.
The full Plate draw is:
Watford Grammar School for Boys v Leverstock Green A
Bushey v Rickmansworth School Staff
Watford Town B v Northchurch
Leverstock Green B v Watford Town A
