Richarlison has finally completed his move from Watford to Everton, with the Brazilian winger signing a five-year deal at Goodison Park.

The fee, thought to be in the region of £50m, is the largest amount Watford have ever received for a player in their history and marks a significant return from the £11.5m fee the Hornets paid Fluminense for the former Brazil U20 international.

Fluminense stand to earn around £3.8m from the deal due to a sell-on clause in the Brazilian’s contract at Vicarage Road.

Richarlison’s move to Goodison Park sees the winger reunited with former Hornets boss Marco Silva, who played an instrumental role in bringing the 21-year-old to England last summer, having apparently phoned the winger to persuade him to move to Hertfordshire instead of joining Ajax.

After making his first appearance against Liverpool last August, the Brazilian got off to a flying start to life in England, scoring against Bournemouth on his full league debut.

He went on to score five goals in his first 12 league appearances but his form nosedived soon after, to the extent that Javi Gracia dropped him towards the closing stages the season.

But despite not finding the net since November, the tricky winger went on to win the Hornets’ Young-Player-of-the-Season award and he leaves Vicarage Road having made 41 appearances for the Golden Boys in all competitions.

Toffees boss Silva will be hoping to coax the best out of Richarlison once again at Goodison Park, with the Brazilian winger causing full-backs plenty of problems during his first few months in England thanks to his pace and trickery.

Richarlison told Everton's website: “I want to have a lot of success with Everton. I think it is going to be important for me here to be with Marco Silva again. I will learn more because I am still learning as a player and I aim to develop and grow here.

“Everton have put their faith in me and I intend to honour this shirt and demonstrate on the pitch why I came here.

“I’ve known the manager for a while obviously, so I know how he works.

“I developed really well with him while he was with me at Watford. It was really good working with him and one day I believe he can help me to be selected for Brazil in the full national team.

“But that is for the future and my present is here with Everton. I want my dreams to become a reality here at one of the biggest clubs in England.”
