Rich Hoskins says he is still evolving as a coach, but admits the restructuring of Fullerians’ backroom staff has presented an enjoyable challenge.

So often the sole voice in leading Fullers, Hoskins has welcomed a host of new perspectives into his set up.

Former Saracens Ladies player Charlotte Fredrickson joins Gavin Jakeman im helping lead Fullers’ Seconds, while Craig South will act as defence coach.

For Hoksins, the changes have been productive ones, despite the fact he has had to adapt the way he works for the betterment of his team.

“I coached Charlotte for Hertfordshire Ladies in her final playing days, so knew her well. It has been fantastic to have her on board,” he said.

“Craig South, one of our players, will do the defence side of things and Gavin will help coach the Seconds and do the matchday management side with Charlotte.

“It has been strange for me because I have had to take a bit more of a backseat which is not something I usually like doing, but its a good change.

“You never stop learning as a coach and anyone who says they are the full ticket is wrong. You pick up new nuggets of information all the time.”

With the new London One North campaign commencing on August 11, Hoskins and his players have been working hard throughout pre-season to be prepared for the opening day.

Hoskins expects a tough test in the 2018/19 term, but feels his side have put in the adequate preparation to prosper.

“We have had a good pre-season so far and know it is going to be a tough season. With the sides coming into the division, the standard will be very high” he said.

“Hopefully, with the work we put in, we can try and push on from where we were last year and try and make it into the top six.”
