Watford made it a century of league wins under the ownership of the Pozzo family when they got their new Premier League campaign off to a winning start against Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
A week shy of six years since Gianfranco Zola’s new-look Hornets recorded the first league win of the new Hornets era with a dramatic 3-2 victory at Selhurst Park, the century was reached in rather more comfortable fashion thanks to Roberto Pereyra’s impressive brace against the Seagulls.
It has taken Watford a total of 253 Championship and Premier League matches (not including play-off fixtures) to reach the 100-mark, with 58 wins coming at Vicarage Road and 42 on the road.
