Watford are one of three teams in the Premier League with a 100 per cent record after three games tonight following a battling 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace.

The Hornets' first league win against the Eagles at Vicarage Road in eight meetings was secured via second-half strikes from Roberto Pereyrea, with his third goal of the season, and Joe Holebas' cross-come-shot to make it 2-0.

Wilfried Zaha pulled one back to give Palace hope before Joel Ward missed a gilt-edged chance to equalise deep into injury-time when he sent a free header wide from a corner.

The Hornets were not at their best but the excellent team spirit was again pivotal as they secured their best-ever start to a top-flight campaign.
