Hemel Hempstead Rovers took advantage of Tring Athletic A not playing to take over the early lead of the West Herts League Premier Division following a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Glenn Sports.

Rovers maintained their 100 per cent record despite going a goal down inside five minutes.

A 25-yard free-kick from Tom Read levelled affairs, only for Glenn to go in front once again.

Hemel equalised for a second time through a fine James Bundey effort and then sealed the points from a Rick Potton penalty after Bundey had been fouled.

Bovingdon A picked up their first win since promotion to the top-flight after Lee Richards struck late with his third goal in as many matches to seal a 1-0 win over Kings Sports.

Seven days previously Croxley Community had scored eight goals and Langleybury Cricket Club had shipped nine, but on Saturday they drew 1-1.

A Alex Spruce hat-trick and David Thompson goal enabled The Engineer Harpenden to get back to winning ways with a 4-2 victory over Caddington, who had Tom Boggon and Thomas Miller on target.

Tring Town went top of Division One thanks to a convincing 4-1 victory over Harpenden Rovers Reserves after captain Jamie Prouten, Ryan Shefras and two-goal man-of-the-match Dan Woosley had all struck in the first half.

Hunton Bridge also continued their 100 per cent start after Jordan Ward’s brace and a Sean Griggs goal saw them prevail 3-1 against Global, for whom Russell Butlin netted.

Oxhey A are off the mark after Joseph Belloni and Chris Wright fired them to a 2-1 win over Hemel Hempstead Rovers Reserves, as are Potten End following a 4-2 victory at Sun Sports Rovers. Dale Jenkins (2), Diego Dafonte and Kieran Hopkins struck for the visitors.

Croxley Community Reserves came from behind twice to draw 2-2 at Tring Corinthians Reserves through James Evans and Steve Barton.
