Watford have received more recognition after their 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur was chosen as the League Managers Association Performance of the Week.

The award was given to Javi Garcia’s men after goals from Troy Deeney and Craig Cathcart saw the Hornets come from behind to continue their 100 per cent start to the season and end Spurs’ perfect record.

Watford were chosen as the recipients by a panel consisting of association chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry.

Having made it four out of four against Mauricio Pochettino’s side, the Hornets will bidding to win a fifth consecutive league game at the start of a season for the first time in their history this evening when they face Manchester United at Vicarage Road.
