Watford will look to conjure up memories of their opening day 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion when Jonathan Moss takes charge of their meeting with AFC Bournemouth on Saturday.

Moss was the man in the middle in early August when a Roberto Pereyra double gave the Hornets the perfect start to the season.

That game represents one of seven Moss has refereed in all competitions this season and the official has shown 20 yellow cards and sent off two players in those outings.

Saturday’s game at Vicarage Road will be the first time Moss has been the referee for a Bournemouth game this season, but he did oversee the Cherries on two occasions last term.

Both those games ended in draws with Southampton holding Bournemouth to a 1-1 stalemate and the south coast club’s meeting with Crystal Palace ending 2-2.

Watford, meanwhile, failed to pick up a win in any of their three games under Moss, losing 4-2 to both Chelsea and Manchester United and drawing 0-0 in Javi Gracia’s first game in charge at Stoke.
