There were plenty of goals for Watford Girls as their Under-9 teams took on Garston in the Herts Girls Football Partnership League on Saturday.

Amelia Baskiewicz was a hat-trick hero for the Greens against Garston Pumas, with Olive Mitchell and Drew Brady scoring twice. Daisy-May Bird and Heidi Bekteshi were also on target.

Bella Millar hit six goals for Watford Yellows at home to Garston Lions and was joined on the scoresheet by Amelia Mariappa, Kimberley Ortiz and Evie Rose.

The Under-10s faced a tough trip to Ruislip Rangers and in an even and exciting match, Elsa Walker scored a fine hat-trick and Elisha Price also found the back of the net.

The Under-11s hosted neighbours Watford Ladies Youth Hornets and another good team performance from the home side saw was rewarded with goals from Sarah Zaoui, who netted a treble, Erin O’Connor (2), Solange Brellier (2) and Ugomma Ekendu-Obi.

The Under-12s travelled to Hitchin Belles and Victoria Lussambo came off the bench to score a hat-trick.

Sundai Amele, Tygun Hart, Kayla Kilstock and Chloe Manning joined their teammate on the scoresheet.

The game between Watford Girls Under-13s and Berkhamsted Raiders Reds ended goalless, while the Under-15s and Under-16s met each other in a intra-club friendly as neither had a league game.

Aulona Xhema scored twice for the Under-15s, including one from the penalty spot.

Holly Ludlow replied for the Under-16s but it was the younger group who claimed the bragging rights this time round.

There was a narrow 1-0 defeat for the Under-18s in the Greater London Women’s Football League against East London Ladies after both teams had seen a player sent off in the second half of the game.
