Watford successfully avoided any slip-up against struggling Huddersfield Town to remain seventh in the Premier League following a 3-0 victory at Vicarage Road.

The Hornets were firmly in the driving seat by midway through the first half after Roberto Pereyra and Gerard Deulofeu had punished some poor Terriers defending to both score impressive solo efforts and put the hosts 2-0 in front.

The game could have been put to bed by half-time had Watford, who showcased invention and versatility to their attacking play, capitalised on other promising situtations which often broke down at the last due to the final pass not finding its intended destination.

However, Javi Gracia's men didn't have it all their own way in the first half and Ben Foster had to make some fine saves to prevent the division's lowest scorers boosting their meagre goals tally.

Chances continued to be create after the break but it was following one of their quieter attacking spells when Isaac Success made sure of the three points, finishing off an impressive set-piece routine to join Deulofeu in scoring his first league goal of the campaign.

Here are a selection of images from the win which gave Watford their highest number of points after the first 10 games of a top-flight season.
