Watford FC Girls Under-18s continued their Greater London Women’s League title push at the weekend with a 3-1 victory over Sport London E Benfica Development.

Following a goalless first half, the hosts took hold of the contest after the break thanks to a brace from Sasha Williams and a Sydney Graham goal.

In the younger age groups, Bella Miller and Evie Rose both scored twice as Watford Under-9 Yellows played their part in a thrilling end-to-end game with St Albans City Youth in the Herts Girls Partnership League.

The Under-9 Greens had an even more productive scoring day at Garston as Amelia Baskiewicz led the way with four, Olive Mitchell scored a hat-trick, Drew Brady and Daisy-May Bird both netted two apiece and Heidi Bekteshi was also on target.

Elsa Walker also scored four as the Under-10s hosted Denham Wildcats. Verity Richman weighed in with a further three as Daisy Conway (2), Jamaica Ogilvie-Charlesworth, Elisha Price, Vedhika Walia, Charlotte Grosso and Rona Majumder also netted.

The Under-11s were unable to find the net in their tough and close fixture at Hitchin Belles Blues, but Watford Under-12s hit five without reply at Berkhamsted Raiders Under-12 Reds. Ebba Taylor-Pugh and Victoria Lussambo both scored twice and Louise Ransom was also on target.

The Under-13 Girls were also in fine away form, winning 2-1 at Herts Girls Reds thanks to Eva Brown and Maddi Armstrong.

Eight goals were shared equally as Watford Under-14s hosted Tottenham Hotspur Ladies Blues, with Grace Craven, Charlotte Forster, Shakira Kafero-Roberts and Macey Bannerman-Lloyd netting for the home side.

Watford’s Under-15s faced Stevenage Borough Girls in a top-of-the-table clash at Sun Postal.

Although the visitors hit the bar late on, few chances were created in the goalless draw as Watford became the first team to take any league points from Stevenage since April 2016.

The top two also met at Under-16 level, but on this occasion visitors London Bees completed a league double with a 3-0 victory.
