Dodi Lukebakio stunned Bayern Munich as he scored a last-minute equaliser to complete his hat-trick and earn Fortuna Dusseldorf a 3-3 draw at the Allianz Arena.
The on-loan Watford player is enjoying an impressive campaign with the Bundesliga side and yesterday’s treble took his tally to nine goals in 12 appearances in all competitions, five of which have come as a substitute.
Javi Gracia was told of Lukebakio’s achievement after the Hornets’ 3-0 defeat to Liverpool and said: “Against Bayern Munich he has scored three goals, I am very pleased for him.”
The hosts opened the scoring through Niklas Sule and looked in control when Thomas Muller slotted the ball in from outside area to make it 3-1 with his second goal of the game.
But the 21-year-old scored twice more to peg Bayern back and leave the defending champions in fifth place, nine points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund.
Dusseldorf, meanwhile, are second bottom of the table after the draw.
