It has been an inconsistent start to the Herts Senior County League for Belstone but on Saturday they inflicted a first Premier League defeat of the season on leaders New Salamis after an 11-goal thriller.

Trailing 3-2 at the interval, the Radlett side battled back to triumph 6-5 thanks to a four-goal blast from Darren Turner, with Jason Puzey netting the other two.

The victory means Bushey Sports Club are now within three points of top spot after Bilal Butt scored all four goals in a 4-1 victory at Colney Heath Development.

Bushey remain in third place behind Letchworth Garden City Eagles on goal difference after their 2-0 success at Bedmond Sports.

Chipperfield Corinthians had a good day on the road with a 3-1 win at Cuffley, but an Ashley Toomey goal was not enough to save Evergreen from a 3-1 loss at Broadfields.

Division One leaders Oxhey Jets Reserves enjoyed comfortable progress in the Aubrey Cup as Albie Booth, Tom Kaill, Tyrese Wolfe and Michael Vickers earned a 4-0 win over Wodson Park Reserves.

Elsewhere, it was a day for draws for other Division One clubs from the area as Paul Hibbert scored for Oxhey, who were held 1-1 at home by Hadley Reserves.

Ashley Johnson and Darius Price were on target for Aldenham in their 2-2 draw at Hoddesdon Town Reserves, while a Lee Picknell goal ensured Bovingdon Reserves also added another point to their tally following a 1-1 result at home to Hinton.
