Daniel Bachmann continued his impressive form in the Kilmarnock goal as he kept a third clean sheet on the spin to help his loan club beat Hibernian 3-0.

Having struggled to make an impact in the early stages of his time north of the border, Bachmann has begun to assert himself.

He was relatively untroubled in the victory but did make one smart stop when tested from range by Daryl Horgan.

Dodi Lukebakio couldn’t follow up his recent hat-trick heroics for Fortuna Dusseldorf as he played 68 minutes of the German club’s 1-0 defeat to Mainz.

Also on the continent, Obbi Oulare made a return from injury as an 84th minute substitute in Standard Liege’s 3-0 defeat to Club Brugge.

There was also no joy for Cucho Hernandez and Huesca after they suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Celta Vigo.

Jerome Sinclair came on as a substitute as Sunderland played out a 1-1 draw on the road at Walsall on Saturday.

The Black Cats will look to progress to the third round at the second time of asking when they take on Walsall once again on Tuesday, December 11.
