The younger Watford FC Girls teams were among the goals as they braved the elements on Saturday.

Olive Mitchell, Amelia Baskiewicz and Heidi Bekteshi all scored twice as the Under-9 Greens visited St Albans City Youth, with Drew Brady and Daisy-May Bird also getting in on the scoring act.

The Under-9 Yellows were also on their travels to Hitchin Belles Youth, but had to settle for a single goal from Evie Rose.

Verity Richman struck four times as the Under-10s enjoyed their home game with Pro Direct Academy Enfield at Sun Sports Club.

Elsa Walker weighed in with a hat-trick and Vedhika Walia netted twice. There were also solo efforts from Elisha Price, Shoronya Majumder and Charlotte Grosso.

The Under-11s also entertained their Pro Direct Academy counterparts and a Sarah Zaoui hat-trick was just one of the highlights in an impressive performance.

Lexe Allaway and Solange Brellier both scored twice and there were goals also for Kiahna Atkins, Sienna Greener and Erin O’Connor.

Watford Under-12s can look forward to the next round of the Herts Challenge Cup after a Victoria Lussambo brace and a Chloe Manning strike defeated Berkhamsted Raiders Youth 3-0 at home.

The Under-13s also faced Berkhamsted Raiders, this time away, and returned with a 2-2 draw following goals from Eva Brown and Amy Hawkes.

Charli O’Connor struck twice, as did Amy Holdcroft after coming off the bench, as Watford Under-16s triumphed 7-1 at Pro Direct Academy Herts.

Leah Knapp, Ceri Milnes and Danielle Ransom rounded off a fine morning for the visitors.
