François Kamano's agent has denied that Watford have tabled a bid for the Bordeaux winger, reports claim.

Wednesday saw a number of publications in France, including L'Equipe, reporting that the Hornets had made an offer of 15 million Euros, rising to €17m, for the player.

The Guinean had been left out of his side's 2-0 win over Angers the night before, while he only played 30 minutes as a substitute in Bordeaux's 1-0 defeat to Nice on the previous weekend.

However, Kamano's agent, Hugo Varela has reportedly denied that a bid has been made and told L'Equipe: "It’s speculation, no one from them has contacted us."

Varela also commented on the club’s decision to leave Kamano out of the squad against Angers.

He said: "It’s not a trivial situation but the coach is in charge of the team and we must accept his decisions. Players have feelings, they are not machines."
