South Korean defender Kim Min Jae has signed for Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan, despite reports linking him with Watford.
The Hornets had been believed to be interested in the defender known as 'The Monster' but instead he has stayed in Asia.
Some reports suggest Watford had submitted a bid to acquire the 22-year-old, but that things had already progressed too far with Beijing for him to change his mind.
The 22-year-old won back-to-back titles at his former club Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors and was named K League player of the season in 2017.
Guoan finished last season in fourth position in addition to winning the Chinese FA Cup and qualifying for the AFC Champions League for this season.
