Defending champion Paul Martelletti had been hoping to win a fourth title.
Tomorrow’s Watford Half Marathon has fallen victim to the bad weather.
Around 2,000 competitors had been set to take part in the 13-mile race starting and finishing in Cassiobury Park, but organisers cancelled the event following an inspection of the course this afternoon.

Due to sections of the course deemed to be unsafe for running,
