Watford’s loanees endured a mostly bad week, with the majority ending up on the losing side, while others suffered injuries and red cards.

The only players to perform for a winning team were Stefano Okaka and Marvin Zeegelaar, who both took part in Udinese’s 1-0 win over bottom placed Chievo in Serie A.

Okaka, who recently admitted he was angry at Watford and had missed tiramisu, featured for 57 minutes from the start of the game, while Zeegelaar came off the bench after 21 minutes.

Fellow Hornet Ben Wilmot was an unused substitute in the same game.

Elsewhere in Europe, Dimitri Foulquier scored for Getafe in a 2-2 draw away at Eibar in La Liga, while Cucho Hernandez played 18 minutes off the bench as Huesca were beaten 1-0 at home by Bilbao.

In Scotland there was further injury woe for Tommie Hoban who was treated on the pitch for a knee problem during Aberdeen’s 2-2 draw with St Mirren.

In the same league, Austrian goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann Played 90 minutes in a 1-0 defeat to Celtic in a game where both sides had a man sent off, including the visitors’ Scott Brown who scored the only goal of the game.

Elsewhere, Michael Folivi was the only Hornet to have been knocked out of the FA Cup this weekend, after he played all 90 minutes of AFC Wimbledon’s fifth round defeat to Millwall, who will now face Brighton at home in the quarter final.

Also on the end of a 1-0 defeat was Jerome Sinclair who was substituted midway through the second half as Oxford United were beaten by Peterbrough United.

Ashley Charles managed to avoid a loss with Barnet as they drew 2-2 draw against Solihull Moors in the National League. However, he was shown two yellow cards in the space of four minutes and was sent for an early bath with 22 minutes left in the match.

Meanwhile, Andrew Eleftheriou played all 90 minutes of Braintree’s 2-1 defeat to Eastleigh in the same division.

In Germany, Dodi Lukebakio was booked in a 2-0 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen.
