Watford FC Girls Under-13s have a Herts County Cup semi-final against Garston Ladies to look forward to after a 2-1 extra-time triumph at Berkhamsted Raiders Reds on Saturday.

Katie Lemon and Eva Brown scored the goals for the Golden Girls as they emerged triumphant after a close encounter.

There were goals aplenty for many of the club’s other teams, with the Under-14s beating Hitchin Belles Blues 12-0.

Both Charlotte Forster and Millie Tugby scored hat-tricks, with braces from Macey Bannerman-Lloyd and Grace Craven. Faith Mensah and Erin Shacklock were also on target for the Hornets.

The Under-16’s followed that up with an 8-2 home win over Pro Direct Academy Herts.

Aimee Charman bagged three goals for herself, whilst Leah Knapp (2), Ceri Milnes, Charli O’Connor and Holly Reid completed the scoring.

The goal fest continued into Sunday, as the Under-18s entertained Sport London E Benfica Ladies in the Sue Sharples trophy.

There were hat-tricks for Lucy Bolitho, Tiarna Reid and Nieve Buckley as Watford buzzed into the next round.

Sasha Williams (2), Georgia Knott (2), Maggie Bristow, Phoebe Peters and Milly Thomson completed the scoring in a convincing 16-1 victory.

In the younger age groups the previous day, the Under-11s took on Kings Langley Youth Reds.

Ugomma Ekendu-Obi hit three goals for the home side. Zara Labastide scored twice and there were goals also for Lexe Allaway, Erin O’Connor and Sarah Zaoui.

The Under-9 Yellows travelled to St Albans City Youth, but were unable to find the back of the net in a tough match.

The Under-9 Greens however, entertained Garston Ladies Pumas and Daisy-May Bird netted a hat-trick with Amelia Baskiewicz also on target.
