Eight Watford FC Girls teams were in action over the weekend with some excellent football played by all sides.

It was derby day for the U9’s as the Yellow and Greens played each other at Sun Postal Sports Club. Olive Mitchell notched a hat-trick while Evie Rose, Saskia Cole and Amelia Baskiewicz also scored ahead of next Saturday’s re-match when the two sides face each other again.

Both the U10’s and U11’s faced away matches against Pro-direct Enfield, and the two sides enjoyed free-scoring performances.

For the U10’s Elsa Walker hit four along with a brace for Elisha Price and solo efforts for Chase Bembridge, Daisy Conway, Jamaica Ogilvie-Charlesworth and Vedhika Walia.

Solange Brellier also scored four for the U11’s, with Sienna Greener, Zara Labastide and Erin O’Connor joining her.

Two goals apiece for Victoria Lussambo and Sundai Amele helped the U12’s to a 6-1 victory in their Herts County Cup quarter-final against Bedwell Rangers.

Chloe Manning and Louisa Ransom were also on the scoresheet to help them into the semi-finals.

The U13’s played host to Watford Ladies Youth Hornets but succumbed to a 1-0 defeat. They fell behind to an early goal, but most of the possession and opportunities was not enough for them to mount a comeback.

The U14’s maintained their unbeaten with a tough 2-0 success away at Ruislip Rangers.

Macey Bannerman-Lloyd scored both to be the hero for her side.

Finally, the U18’s hosted Tower Hamlets Reserves in the GLWFL, and recorded a 5-0 win to keep their place in the Division Three North title race.

Maggie Bristow, Nieve Buckley, Katie Kitch, Phoebe Peters and Tiarna Reid were all on target.
