Eric Hand Challenge Cup Quarter-Final

Reed Rangers are the first side through to the last four of the league’s flagship competition, as they warmed up for this Sunday’s Herts Senior Cup Final appearance with a narrow 2-1 win over fellow Premier Division side Evergreen.

Reed had a dream start when they went ahead after four minutes when a cross-field pass from George Hobson found Miley Cash on the right flank and he teed up Louis Stead for his first goal for the club.

An understrength Evergreen put up fierce resistance for the whole game, but 20 minutes into the second half Stead scored his second with a fine run and finish.

Evergreen never gave up and caused the Reed defence some nervous moments, pulling a late goal back when Ben Adams raced clear to fire home, but they were unable to force extra-time.

WSL Intermediate Cup Quarter-Final

Second Division Ardent caused an upset as they put three answered goals past First Division strugglers Bushey Sports Club.

Charlie Salvage, Kiefer Shuttleworth and own goal saw them through to the last four and a tie against Tudor Athletic.

WSL Junior Cup Semi-Final

Third Division AFC Leavesden became the first side through to a league cup final after goals from Lucas Halligan and Kyle Clifford secured a 2-0 victory over Fourth Division Skyline.

Leavesden will face the winners of this Sunday’s tie between Sun Postal Sports and Hews in the final, provisionally scheduled for April 7 at Oxhey Jets.

Invitation Cup Group C

Ricky AFC may have suffered a torrid season in Division Two, but they are making up for it in the cup with a second win in this competition and a 3-2 victory over Oxhey Rangers was enough to book a semi-final place.

Anthony Gilbert scored a double with the other Ricky goal coming from Adam Roe. Michael Gillman netted both of Rangers' efforts.

Invitation Cup Group D

RBL Croxley and Batchworth could not break the deadlock after a 0-0 draw, leaving the group finally balanced with White Horse yet to play a game.

Premier Division

Leaders Chorleywood Club are doing all they can to put pressure on Oakview and Reed Rangers, who have games in hand below them in the table, after they defeated bottom-placed West Herts 4-1.

Jack Read put Chorleywood ahead after 16 minutes but the Stags levelled at the start of the second half thanks to a Tom Smith header.

Chorleywood stepped up a gear and bagged all three points thanks to a brace from Clement Asante, either side of a Nicholas Holden goal midway through the second half.

Old Fullerians achieved a second win of the season with a vitally important 4-1 victory over Old Danes Athletic to move five points clear of the bottom two.

Fullerians took the lead in the first half when Charlie Hailey latched onto a through ball from Craig Totton and slotted past the keeper.

Danes equalised soon after as a cross from the left evaded two defenders and was stabbed home from close range by Mike Burke.

Fullerians went back in front after the break when a clearance from the back was flicked on by Charlie Munroe for Ryan Woosley to run through and finish.

Hailey doubled his tally from close range after a blocked shot fell kindly for him, and Fullerians completed their victory when a move starting down the right went across to Ryan Woosley who squared for Dan Woosley to fire into the top right corner from the left corner of the box.

Division One

AFC Bedmond defeated Langleybury CC 4-2 to boost their hopes of finishing fourth in the table.

Tom Emery hit a brace for Bedmond, with Tommy Twelves and Gavin Rajenderen also on target. Jamie Madden and Oliver Ilott replied.

Division Three

Chess United defeated ACS Milan 4-1 thanks to an impressive team performance that leaves them on the brink of a fourth-place finish.

Ben Bugeja, Craig Putman, Dana Anderson and Joe Mitchell scored for the victors, with Spencer Coccomazzi hitting Milan’s sole reply.

Division Four

The Victoria sealed the Fourth Division title with a 4-0 win over SOCA to make it 10 straight league victories.

Dan Bourne took his tally for the season to 18 goals with a hat-trick, with the fourth scored by Matt Glossop.

Hews need just a single win from their two remaining games to seal runners-up spot after a 4-1 away victory over bottom-placed White Horse.

Goals from Stephen Noonan, Nathan Pooley, Luke Pochetty and Chris Dunn secured the win, with Ralph Thompson netting Horse’s consolation.
