Premier Division

The destiny of the Premier Division title looks set to go right to the wire after two of the main contenders, Oakview and Reed Rangers, shared eight goals in a 4-4 draw, whilst Rifle Volunteer kept themselves right in the mix with a victory as well.

The Oakview game was in a sharp contrast to their goalless draw with Reed in the County Cup semi-final five weeks ago, which Rangers won on penalties, as it served up an end-to-end goal-fest, although the outcome didn’t really help either side.

Dominic David gave Reed the lead after 13 minutes with a turn and shot from the edge of the area, but their opponents were level within three minutes when Owen Deamer whipped in a cross for Chris Blunden to head in from eight yards.

Rangers were to go back in front on the stroke of half-time after Miley Cash picked the ball up on the left and drove into the penalty area before laying off a pass for Nick Kerley to tap home from six yards.

Reed looked to have the game won five minutes after the restart when John Smith fired in-off the post from the edge of the area from a Kyle Johnson pass.

Oakview were far from finished though, as a Tom Kennedy cross was converted by Spencer Bellotti before Luke Lloyd struck a quick-fire brace to make it 4-3 with a few minutes left.

But there was still time for one last twist in the final minute when Andrew Brennan got his head to a corner at the far post and scored a last-gasp equaliser.

Rifle Volunteer remain in second place, level on points with Oakview, although they have played a game more after defeating Old Danes Athletic 2-1.

After a goalless first half, it was Rifle who went ahead early in the second period when, following some good work down the right, Josh Helmore finished well from an acute angle.

However, they were to be caught out by a long ball which allowed Colin Spooner to poke home into an unguarded net to level.

Rifle snatched the winner with time running out when Hugh Trayte smashed the ball home following a goalmouth scramble to keep his side firmly in the title mix.

Old Fullerians came from behind to defeat West Herts 2-1 with all the goals coming in the final 30 minutes.

Looking for a second straight win in their fight against the drop, the Stags went ahead on the hour mark when Jeremy Audic latched onto a through ball to slot past the keeper.

They held that advantage for 15 minutes until the home side levelled when Charlie Hailey crossed from the right for Ryan Woosley to finish from close range.

With time running out, a Charlie Munroe clearance was latched onto by Hailey who lifted the ball over the advancing keeper to seal the three points with the last kick of the game.

Division One

FC Unicorn took over at the top of the table following a 6-2 victory over North Watford.

The game was won thanks to another strong first-half performance. Jamie Calvin scored four times, supported by singles from Danny Warwick and Matt Owens. Shoaib Ali netted both of the North Watford replies.

Mid-table Cassiobury Rangers defeated basement side Croxley 5-2.

Croxley actually went ahead in the first half when Carl Pettitt tapped home, but Joe Mortimer equalised soon after in style when he turned through 180 degrees and fired in from 30 yards.

Rangers then went in front when Jamie McDougall beat his full-back on the left and got a shot off which found its way in off the far post.

Cassiobury made it 3-1 after the break when some good passing resulted in Aidan Lesslie slipping the ball through for Mortimer to score his second.

The roles were reversed soon after, with Mortimer sliding in Lesslie to finish into the corner, but not before Croxley got their second with a towering Luke Dolan header.

Rangers finished off the game with their fifth when some fine footwork by Lesslie found Joe Ainsworth who crossed for Mortimer to head home and complete his hat-trick.

Division Two

Having wrapped up the title the previous week, Everett Rovers finished the season with 3-2 victory over Ripstone, meaning their league campaign ended with 11 wins and just a single draw.

That impressive record looked in danger early on when Ripstone went ahead through Matt Elgey who scored when he raced onto a poor back pass and saw his shot go through the hands of keeper Ryan Peach.

It wasn't long before Everett were back on level terms though, as Reece Cameron finished well after cutting in from the left.

Everett controlled much of the play and took the lead halfway through the first half when Tom Owen cut the ball back for Jake Knight to finish.

Knight netted his second of the game after the break following more good work from Owen on the left.

But Ripstone made the outcome closer than it should have been when Josh Noyes pulled one back with five minutes left.

Division Three

Woodlands United returned to the top of the table with a 2-0 win over Batchworth, although they had a let off when the home side missed a penalty with the game still goalless.

Darren Obrien scored both of his side’s goals to keep them firmly in the three-way title race with AFC Leavesden and Oxhey Athletic.

The mid-table game between Inter and Oxhey Rangers saw Inter win 2-0 thanks to goals from James Exley and Paul Wilson.

Division Four

With the title already in the bag, The Victoria are now just a single win away from a clean sweep in the league after a 5-0 victory over Sun Postal Sports.

Dan Bourne struck a double, with Matt Mason, Jonny Lappert and an own goal completing the victory.

Eric Hand Challenge Cup Quarter-Final

Premier Division Chorleywood Club made light work of First Division Bushey Sports Club with an 8-0 victory.

Tom Shaw got the first of his four goals in the sixth minute and Clement Asante increased the lead three minutes later.

The second half continued in the same vein as Tom Shaw netted the third 10 minutes into the half, Andrew Rockett made it 4-0 two minutes later before Shaw completed his treble with a quick-fire three-minute double.

Michael East then got on the scoresheet before Rockett doubled his tally with the last kick of the game.

Denis Jackson Intermediate Cup Semi-Final

Tudor Athletic defeated Ardent 4-0 to reach the final where they will face title rivals FC Unicorn on April 14.

It will be the first of two opportunities for Athletic to win silverware after they reached the Ken Simmons Memorial final the previous week.

It was Ardent who had the better of the first half, but they failed to take several good chances and were made to pay for this when James Hocking scored just before the break.

A change in formation at half-time time had the desired effect when Chris McIntyre got on the end of a Karl Bull cross to make 2-0 soon after the restart and then James Fisher scored Athletic’s third with a free-kick.

Danny Regan completed the scoring late with his fourth goal in two games.

Invitation Cup Group B

Hews confirmed their place in the semi-finals and a tie against The Tree with a 4-1 win over SOCA.

Chris Dunn struck a double, with Alex Gilmaney and Alexander Willerton also on target. Bradley Bridges got SOCA's reply.

Invitation Cup Group D

RBL Croxley did what they needed to do to reach the semi-final as they defeated White Horse 3-2, who only needed to avoid defeat to progress.

Phil Molloy scored twice for Croxley with Ollie Donohoe getting their other goal. Ralph Thompson and James Redfearn were on target for White Horse.

RBL will now face Ricky AFC for a place in the final.
