After a difficult first-half of football Watford turned their fortunes around against a desperately poor Fulham side, scoring three times after the break to eclipse their record Premier League points tally.

The scoreline may have flattered the Hornets slightly, but there were some moments of brilliance that stood out as the Cottagers were sent back down to the Championship.

Here's how we rated the team's individual performances:

Ben Foster - 7

The veteran shot stopper didn't have a lot to do, but he received a standing ovation for a terrific stop from Ryan Sessegnon in the second-half.

Could maybe have done better with Ryan Babel's goal, but all in all a solid enough performance from Big Ben.

Kiko Femenia - 7

The Spanish full-back started slowly, but grew into the game and was helped out by the tactical change at half-time.

The introduction of Daryl Janmaat helped him stamp his influence on the match and he took his goal very well.

Craig Cathcart - 6

Cathcart looked slightly nervy after returning to the first-team following a busy international break and struggled to deal with the threat of Ryan Babel and Aleksandar Mitrovic.

A better strikeforce would have made more of the space he allowed them and he will have to do better to keep the likes of Raul Jimenez quiet on Sunday.

Adrian Mariappa - 6

Cathcart's defensive partner didn't offer much more resistence at the back and picked up a silly yellow card after he was outpaced by the not-exactly-speedy Mitrovic.

He looked stronger in the second-half, but still offered the Fulham players too much space to manouevre in.

Jose Holebas - 6

The ever-unpredictable full-back showed both his good and his bad side during the match, as he attacked well down the left in the second-half, but needlessly lost his temper in the game's dying stages.

He recovered well and played on after straining his groin, hopefully it won't have any lasting effects ahead of the semi-final.

Will Hughes - 7

As the season winds on, Hughes is proving himself to be one of Watford's most consistent players.

The former Derby man battled well in midfield yet again and scored a sensational volley to put the Hornets back in front following their lacklustre first-half.

Abdoulaye Doucoure - 7

The French midfielder has hit a rich vein of form at the perfect time and will now head into Sunday's semi-final with two goals from his last two games.

His passing and drive wasn't quite as good as it can be last night, but he took his goal well and did enough to get the better of the opposition.

Etienne Capoue - 6

Another whose performance was little more than adequate was Capoue, who looked leggy at times.

However, with Watford playing just three days before last night's game it's perhaps understandable that the players weren't up to their best and they performed as well as they needed to get the job done.

Roberto Pereyra - 6

Despite one or two lively moments during the first-half, Pereyra looked frustrated. He made a couple of poor decisions on the ball and couldn't provide an end product to any of his bursts forward.

Some might have been surprised to see him substituted as early as half-time, but the Hornets' second-half display proved that Javi Gracia was right to make the change.

Gerard Deulofeu - 6

The former Barcelona man had a similar night to Pereyra as he dithered on the ball and looked indecisive.

He looks to have lost some of the confidence that saw him score three at Cardiff not too long ago and his performances are suffering a bit as a result.

Troy Deeney - 7

The skipper got himself back on the scoresheet after three games without a goal and did well to put himself in the right place to finish off Andre Gray's cross.

However, he looked to be missing some of his customary work rate that defenders hate to see.

SUBS

Daryl Janmaat - 6

Despite picking up a yellow card just three minutes after joining the match, Janmaat's introduction sured up the defence and allowed Holebas and Femenia to get further forward.

Andre Gray - 8

It's certainly rare for a player to come off the bench and be awarded the man of the match award, but Gray managed it last night, as he added some much-needed purpose and urgency into Watford's attack.

While he didn't manage to score himself, he set up two others and really exploited the weaknesses in Fulham's defence.

Domingos Quina - N/A
