Tring Athletic ‘A’ won the Herts FA County Junior Cup final with a 2-1 win over Hertford Heath at the County Ground in Letchworth on Good Friday.

Martin Travers headed Tring into the lead before Hertford levelled with a deserved equaliser, but Lorenzo Cross won it in the second half when he converted a penalty for Tring to lift the trophy for the first time.

On Saturday, Tring Town AFC were massive 10-0 winners over Hunton Bridge in West Herts Division One thanks to goals from Michael Woosley, who scored four, Daniel Woosley and Ashley Wadhams who were both at the double, and Steve Toyer and Jamie Prouten bagged one apiece in a one-sided game.

Elsewhere, Matt Baizer scored five as Harpenden Rovers Reserves beat Oxhey Academy 14-1. Also on the scoresheet were Wilf Stewart with a hat-trick, Ross MacNiven and Matt Beston with braces, while Ben Gull and James Briggs bagged single goals.

Division One's other fixture saw Croxley Community Reserves come out as 2-1 winners against Tring Corinthians Reserves.
