Legannes have renewed their interest in signing Marc Navarro, according to Spanish sports newspaper Marca.

The 23-year-old defender joined Watford from Espanyol last summer, but his first-team playing time was limited to two Premier League appearances, plus three further cup matches.

Marca state the La Liga club came close to signing Navarro in January, but the refusal of once Hornets-owned defender Juanfran to leave scuppered the deal.

However, his departure this month – along with another former Watford player Allan Nyom’s loan from West Bromwich Albion ending – has opened up the possibility of a move again.

The report adds that Legannes would like to sign Navarro on a permanent basis, but they could also be open to a loan switch.
