Dodi Lukebakio has admitted he doesn’t know where he will be playing next season but believes a lot of clubs are interested in him.
The Watford forward has been linked with a number of potential destinations following a successful season on loan at Fortuna Dusseldorf, scoring 10 times in a total of 31 Bundesliga appearances.
LOSC Lille coach Christophe Galtier confirmed last week that reports linking the Ligue 1 side with the Belgian Under-21 international were correct, but stressed Lukebakio was one of four options under consideration.
The 21-year-old played last night as Belgium's youngsters continued their build-up for the European Under-21 Championships with a 3-0 defeat against France and admitted afterwards it was pleasing to hear of Lille’s interest.
He told Foot Mercato: “It’s nice to hear such things. I always say, in football, anything is possible.
“I do not know what will happen, I do not know where I am personally. All I know is that there are a lot of interested clubs.”
Again stressing that he didn’t know what his future had in store, Lukebakio added he was not against the prospect of a return to the French top tier, calling it an “attractive league”.
The player spent the 2016/17 season on loan at Toulouse.
